{ Allie + Nate | Lake Tahoe Wedding Photography }
There have been many sunny weddings, some cloudy weddings, even a couple rainy weddings… but this snowy wedding was a first for me! Last weekend I accompanied Dave Richards to a fabulous winter wedding nestled in the mountains of Lake Tahoe. It snowed the entire 2 days we were there and while snow is absolutely beautiful, it also has the tendency to be cold, and I was reminded a little bit of why me and always-temperate LA have been BFFs all these years. But it was indeed gorgeous and it provided the most beautiful backdrop for this wedding! Both Allie and Nate are such kind-hearted people and their warmth filled the entire lodge. I assisted Dave at Allie’s sister Megan’s wedding last year so it was great to see much of the same family and friends there celebrating again.
Allie and her bridesmaids (all 13 of them!) got ready in the beautiful rooms across from the ceremony site:

Then out into the snow for some portraits! Allie & Nate were such troopers – you’d think they were on some beach in the Bahamas rather than in 30 degree temperatures!

how do they not look cold? not even goosebumps?! they really warmed up the lodge with all the love in the air <3 I love the shot of the couple in the snow! Also of the cute little girl twirling with her dress all poofed out! Adorable.

Hi Adrienne, I just stumbled across your site this evening and peeked around a bit. You have lovely shots! I’m breaking into wedding photography (or trying anyway) and it’s good to see another female photographer IN LOS ANGELES. Most of the girls I follow are outside our area.
Anyhow, I love the snow! It must’ve been lovely to experience a snowy wedding.
