{ melody + caleb | picnic engagement }

Melody and Caleb brought along the most lovely picnic for their engagement session! I also fell in love with Melody’s bike, which she rides around her hometown of Big Bear, looking for cute vintage finds like some of the ones they gathered below!

Melody & Caleb are so sweet and in love, and just light up around each other – so excited for their wedding this June {also super excited to work with the amazing Esther of My Bride Story!}

{ kat + ryan | santa monica engagement }

Kat & Ryan’s session consisted of a wonderful morning stroll along Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica. I loved the casual urban vibe of it all and the little color-filled spots we found along the way. And — although this may sound wacky to say for such a cloudy day — I am utterly head over heels for the light in all of these. So soft and smooth and pretty, and allowing us to shoot in every direction our hearts desired! It started sprinkling right at the end of the session, but Kat & Ryan persevered in the name of good photos saying, “let’s keep shooting a little more”, because they are LE AWESOME.

Completely beside myself with excitement for their wedding at Inn of the Seventh Ray (read: one of my favorite venues IN THE HISTORY OF VENUES) this fall!

{ leah + matt | disneyland engagement }

The happiest place on earth? Most definitely. Even more so, now that I’ve recently discovered that Disneyland sells chimichangas. Because if there’s anything that could make such a happy place happier, it’s DEEP FRIED BURRITOS.

But this post is not about food, this post is about love. And Leah & Matt are filled to the brim with it! They are so sweet and laidback, and I adore their interactions together. The cherry on top? They love Disneyland just as much as I do :)

Sidenote of awesome: When I first met with them, Leah informed me that their wedding will have a woodsy fantasy theme, filled with bright colors, moss, mushrooms, and other whimsical details – “sort of like Avatar”, she described. LE SWOON.
