Kim and Matt booked me through email (thanks to being introduced by their wedding planner Uyen!) so their engagement session was the first time we met. I was so excited to find that with as sweet as they were through our email exchanges, they were even moreso in person! I had so much fun shooting them among all the pretty blooms of the LA Arboretum and the Pasadena City Hall.

Their wedding will be taking place just down the street from these spots at The Langham next year, and I just can’t wait!

I first met Nicole & Jeremy over some lattes in Long Beach along with their wedding planner Uyen, and seriously for the first hour of the meeting, I don’t think we even talked about weddings or photography. We just… talked. We talked about food, and travel, and the south bay (where we grew up!), and then some more about food, and it seriously just felt like catching up with old friends. I was of course beyond excited when they chose me as their photographer and knew their wedding and engagement session would be more of the same – lots of fun conversation & good belly laughs :)

We wandered the prettiest spots in Venice – the canals, Abbot Kinney, and of course the beach, where we greeted with that unreal sunset at the end. Such a fun session!

With this formula you really can’t go wrong – rolling green hills, wildflowers 6 feet tall, a so-in-love couple, and that flowy dress! Add it all together with a good dose of pretty light, and you have the most romantic session. Paola & Josh came to me wanting soft dreamy images which are exactly the type of photos I love to make – I’m so thankful for these awesome couples where our visions so perfectly align!

I had so much fun meandering through these fields with these two and can’t wait for their wedding with Samantha Scott Events at Hummingbird Nest Ranch this fall!
