I’ll be writing up a full WPPI-recap soon (including pics from the awesome desert shoot!), but I wanted to take a quick moment to give a shoutout to the fabulous girls at Fresh Events Company and the equally fabulous event they’re putting on. I had the opportunity to photograph Pamper Me Fabulous last year and to be honest, I felt pampered just walking around shooting the event :) I can just imagine how relaxing and invigorating it must have been to be a lucky guest, getting massages, sipping on Izzes (hands down my favorite carbonated drink!), and getting to chat with lots of amazing girls from all over the city.

This year it’s going to be at the Vibiana (could there BE a cooler venue?) and will be even more chock-full of spa treatments, snacks, and samples that will be sure to melt away even the most stubborn of stresses. You can see more info on the slick flyer below or on their website here!

And in one last bit of exciting news – last year’s event has been published in the latest issue of Your Wedding Day magazine!! It’s my first time having my images published and I was definitely giddy upon receiving the copy they sent me! YWD is really an amazing wedding resource and I was so impressed by their gorgeous spreads, stylish design, and great ideas!

From the moment I heard the name of the event, I knew it was going to be something to go gaga for. And as I learned more about the details – luxurious spas providing their treatments, decadent desserts and hors d’oeuvres, samples of great products, all rolled up into a chic downtown loft – I began envisioning a pampering paradise, with bright colors, sweet smells, and massages and facials around every corner.

But my mind’s images paled in comparison to what Ada and her team at Fresh Events actually created! The ambiance was that much more soothing, the services that much more luxurious, the sweets melted in your mouth that much more. Every detail was meticulously planned to create a feast for the senses and a haven for the guests, right smack in downtown LA. I was so honored to be there to capture the event and I know if they put on another pampering extravaganza I would definitely love to attend again… maybe next time as a guest?? :)

What were all the things that made a birthday party awesome as a kid? A jumper slide was one. Lots of bubbles was another. A personalized cake that you can dig your fingers right into? Doesn’t get much better than that!

I had the honor of photographing a party on Saturday that had all of this and more! Twins Christian and Brooke were turning the big TWO and had a spectacular party to celebrate, full of family and friends. Those two are lucky to be born into such a cool family – everyone was super friendly and always making sure we had enough to eat and drink – they even packed us plates full of food and cake to go!

It was an awesome party and the fun of the day spilled over onto the drive back, as we happened upon a couple exciting places, but that shall be saved for a separate entry. Until then some party pics!
