{ ingrid + robert | summit house wedding }

Ingrid & Robert were married at the beautiful Summit House last month. The light at this venue is always amazing! Their day was filled with a wonderful blend of tender moments and fun silly ones – I love a night that ends with some crazy dancing & this wedding most definitely did not disappoint! I also adored the soft color palette & details, especially the whimsical centerpieces (sweet peas? are they sweet peas? I love them.)

Enjoy this peek into their day!

{ colleen + keean | occidental wedding }

Colleen & Keean were married at the beautiful Occidental College, the very location where their relationship began and grew. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – we are ridiculously lucky to work with couples who are so in love… because with all the kissing & the smiling & the laughing & the tears, the photos desperately want to make themselves :)

The warm summer day was accented with the juiciest {quite literally} color palette.. bright tangerines & greens, with real fruit incorporated into the crisp arrangements. I had seen citrus decor before, but the talented & creative Kim of Art with Nature also incorporated kiwis & grapes for unique centerpieces that quite literally looked good enough to eat. Beware.. these detail shots might just make you crave something delicious & citrusy :)

Thank you to Kim for introducing us to Colleen & Keean, and to the amazing couple for inviting us to photograph their special day!

Such a sweet first look…

LOVE all the lush roses on the cake…

{ Kay + Brenn | Mission Inn Wedding }

So many factors go into building the perfect wedding, though I believe that it really all boils down to one thing – the people. Of course, at the very center the bride and groom, but also the loved ones with their toasts, the laughter across tables, the dozens of happy bodies filling up the dance floor… this is what breathes the life into the day and makes it perfect.

Although a picture-perfect venue, serving as the backdrop for all your memories with all those wonderful people, cannot hurt either, and a picture-perfect venue is precisely what the Mission Inn is. Part historic landmark, part hotel, part crazy crazy maze, it is an amalgamation of architectural styles, unique buildings, and ultimate portrait backdrops. Kay & Brenn’s reception was held in the stunning Spanish Art Gallery and after dark, we got to take a few more night portraits around the grounds. Even then, after hours and hours of talking/dancing/laughing/mingling/getting-married, they were as sweet and enthusiastic and in love as ever. It was a beautiful day!

You all know of my weakness for bougainvillea…
