I don’t know how I get so lucky, but seriously everything about this wedding & this couple was like a dream! Sue & David are laidback, hilarious, kind-hearted and oh so creative (you might remember their homemade fort engagement session!) and the types of people you just want to be friends with immediately. Their wedding was just as awesome as they are – bursting with prettiness & handmade details, coupled with a heavy dose of fun. When I imagine the types of weddings I most love to shoot and the types of people I most like to rendezvous with this, Sue & David and this amazing wedding are exactly what come to mind :)
Hope you enjoy this glimpse into their day!

It was a perfect sunny summer day in Palos Verdes. On a cliff overlooking the sea, Christine & Michael exchanged wedding vows of love and hope, of always knowing the other was out there for them, of the joy of finally finding one another. The day had a wonderful relaxed feel and so perfectly reflected their personalities – with fragrant bouquets of lavender scattered throughout and lots of odes to the Beatles. It was also the first wedding I photographed with an all-vegan menu, which included pasta, tacos and burgers, all of which looked delicious!
A huge thank you to my dear friend Uyen of Sassy Girl Weddings for introducing me to this amazing couple and perfectly coordinating this amazing day!

What makes for a day this perfect? How about a so-in-love couple, who has been together for an amazing 17 years? How about a lovely little ranch house adorned with the sweetest handcrafted vintage details? How about personal touches galore – Erin’s bouquet wrapped in the sleeve from her mother’s wedding dress, guests sipping on beer brewed by the groom and his friends, the ceremony officiated by a reverend who has known the family for 3 generations, a dessert bar made with contributions solely baked by family and friends. This wedding was the perfect picture of relaxed elegance and thoughtful details, but also so much FUN!! I loved how Erin and her dad danced down the aisle, followed by a high five with Brandon as he handed off the beautiful bride. The entire day was filled with feelings of warmth & love, and I can’t express how honored I was to be there to document it!
A special thank you goes out to Jennifer Yamauchi for orchestrating every last piece of it – always love working with her & her tirelessly amazing team!
