Whimsical, woodsy, romantic. That’s how Annalise and Patrick described their vision for their session and I was of course so on board! We brainstormed the perfect spot and it was as if we had the whole location to ourselves. There’s definitely something about spots that are more secluded and quiet that make for such an easy and intimate session.

These two are the sweetest – the kind of people who make you instantly feel at home and at ease, and I loved hanging out with them!

When I first met with Ann and Albert I was so excited to hear they were downtown Long Beach residents as well, and even more excited when they decided to do their engagement session in our shared neighborhood! We were blessed with perfect breezy weather and gorgeous light, and I loved the whole nautical feel of their session. One of my favorite parts of sessions is getting to know the couple better, and as we walked from place to place we chatted not just about their wedding, but also travel, music, and our mutual love of food :)

You may remember Molly and Wayne from their summery poolside engagement session – it was so colorful and full of their fun personalities and I knew right then that their wedding would be just as amazing! It was held at the stunning Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano, which meant we got to hop over to the mission to get some pretty portraits as well. The whole day had such an air of relaxed elegance and so many thoughtful touches – lovely white peonies, hanging chandeliers, and Mexican food (including refreshing horchata & agua fresca!) for dinner!

It was so much fun and I was so happy to be there to document it!
